Wadiz Appoints Head of China Business and Opens Shenzhen Office

Strengthening Its Position as Asia’s Innovation Platform and Crowdfunding Hub

Wadiz has appointed Martin Ziming Mo as Head of China Business and opened a Shenzhen office, accelerating its expansion across Asia’s innovation ecosystem.

As a Korea-based innovation platform, Wadiz continues to strengthen its position in Asia crowdfunding by connecting global makers with Korean consumers and early adopters.

The new Shenzhen office will serve as a strategic base for sourcing AI and tech makers, expanding local partnerships, and supporting cross-border product launches into Korea and global markets.

Why Shenzhen Matters

Shenzhen has become one of Asia’s leading hubs for technology, manufacturing, and product innovation.

For Wadiz, the city represents an important gateway to discover emerging tech brands and strengthen collaboration with companies seeking market validation and early launch opportunities through crowdfunding.

Since launching its global service, Wadiz has connected supporters from more than 200 countries. The company also noted that AI and tech companies accounted for approximately 50% of overseas maker projects launched on the platform.

Building Local Partnerships Across Asia

As Head of China Business, Martin Ziming Mo will oversee local sales strategy, strategic partnerships, and maker sourcing from Shenzhen.

Before joining Wadiz, he worked at WeWork Beijing, supporting business development and cross-border partnerships for global companies.

Wadiz has already seen growing interest from Chinese companies looking to enter the Korean market. Last year, the company hosted a crowdfunding seminar in Shenzhen’s Nanshan district, attracting around 130 local businesses.

Building on that momentum, Wadiz plans to expand local networking events and crowdfunding seminars for Chinese tech companies this year.

Wadiz will also participate as an official global partner at BEYOND EXPO, one of Asia’s largest technology and innovation events.

At the event, Martin Ziming Mo will join a panel discussion on Asia crowdfunding trends and global expansion strategies, while Wadiz continues to strengthen partnerships with global crowdfunding platforms and international makers.

Wadiz参画前は、WeWork北京支社でグローバル企業向けのビジネス開発やクロスボーダーパートナーシップを担当していました。

Wadizはすでに、中国企業による韓国市場進出ニーズの高まりを確認しています。昨年には深圳・南山区で韓国市場向けクラウドファンディング説明会を開催し、約130社の現地企業が参加しました。

これを受け、Wadizは年内に深圳のテック企業向けネットワーキングイベントやクラウドファンディング説明会をさらに拡大していく予定です。
