I’ve been sick a more lot lately. The kind of sick that makes the days stretch into a blur of bed, couch, sitting at your desk trying to keep your brain from oozing out of your ears. Trust me it’s not fun, but it slowed me down enough to finally poke at something I’d been circling for months… The WAN models.

Now, that 2.2 STV is out.

Well, it’s been a real eye opener in to what AI is capable of! It’s an AI model but it’s not just any model. It’s a video making powerhouse.

It makes me envy China and all of the tech they bring out. Where in America companies bring it out behind paywalls and subscriptions. China brings them out and passes them around for free like it’s Christmas or Easter or your birthday everytime! It makes me envy the tech they get to work with and see and create.

But it’s also scary, because it seems like humans becoming obsolete is approaching more like a bullet train now. The best part (in my opinion) is that I had a faceless YouTube marketing channel, the type where you keep yourself hidden behind stock clips and generic voice overs. It worked, but it was always off and something wasn’t 100% great with it, but now.. with this audio-driven video trick, the channel isn’t faceless anymore. I don’t mean I slapped my actual face on it… I didn’t, because I’m not like that.

Now, I just use an AI generated person and that has gotten me more subs! Now, the videos feel like someone’s there, moving with the sound, grooving with the story. And no one watching seems to know it’s AI.

Comments roll in like I’ve unlocked some mysterious production workflow. Really, it’s been a new spark in to my creative workflow, and I’m working on bringing it out and making it accessible to everyone through my github. It’s because I feel like now I need to start giving back to the world.

It’ll take a while, but I found a person who put out WAN for the GPU poor. I’m GPU poor, but I’m editing their workflows and their code so I can use both my 4070 TI Super and my 3060 at the same time to make video creation faster and better. I’ve had ideas forever, but because of WAN now I can start to make those creative dreams become a reality.
