zkMarkets V2 NFT Marketplace on zkSync Era

Since our last update the team has been busy revamping the entire marketplace, working on new features and moving to more efficient stack of tools for better UI and UX.

Mintsquare is, as of the time of writing this update, #1 NFT marketplace on zkSync Era Mainnet. Although Mintsquare is our competitor, it is unfortunate to see it closing its doors at the end of July. The more projects, marketplaces, and dapps there are on zkSync, and the more competition there is, the better. Competition brings out the best in everyone.

However, this does not mean that we will stop innovating. In fact, the opposite is true. A storm is coming! With over 120 ETH in volume & #2 NFT marketplace on zkSync, zkMarkets is undergoing a revamp, and new functions are being actively worked on. With a better front and backend stack, we will be able to deliver top-of-the-game user experience in the NFT space!

Relaunch — zkMarkets V2

zkMarkets will be relaunching on 1st of July. Here’s what to expect:

• Global search functionality (Collections & NFTs)
• Faster loading speeds
• More functionality (nft/attribute searches)
• Instant automatic listing of new collections (using royalty standards and contractURI)
• Opensource API

And many small updates to the overall site.

After our relaunch, we’ll be releasing new UI/UX updates throughout entire site.

Our partner list has grown exponentially within last month, we’ll be announcing them over-time as well as adding new ERC standard(s) to allow us to expand our reach to other communities & networks — interoperability is the future🚀

Q3 Roadmap

We had few targets on our short-term roadmap — that we mentioned in our last Medium update — which we weren’t able to fulfill. This in part is because we had to address more fundamental issues first. After 1st of July when zkMakrets is revamped, we’ll have clearer vision of what we’ll be able to deliver in both short & long-term.

Validify

The zkSync Era ecosystem is still relatively small compared to other Layer 2 networks, indicating that we are in the early stages. As there are limited resources available on Era when compared to other Layer 2 networks, we have taken the initiative to create our own Discord role verification service called — **Validify.**

In collaboration with Datrare (zkDino), we have co-developed a Discord role verification service specifically designed for zkSync. NFT holders will have the ability to verify their NFT holdings and receive their corresponding Discord roles.
