Keith Lee is a stand-up guy.
Well… at least he seems to be.
He started as a humble food reviewer and built a massive platform enabling him to bless small businesses just by showing up. Over time, the way he carries himself has been proven to be ethical and even noble, regularly giving back to struggling entrepreneurs and creating new opportunities for them while helping to expand their reach.
He has done such an awesome job that his audience is becoming more interested in his personal life rather than seeing him as just another food reviewer.
Recently, he gave an interview to Keke Palmer, in which he discussed marriage, family, and kids. Specifically, when asked about expanding his family, Keith said he would do so when and how his wife wants to, because she is the one who has to carry the babies.

And this is where the red pillers angrily entered the chat. Apparently, this makes him a simp to the men who hate women.
And let’s be clear, the word “simp” has many meanings. Some of which are as follows:
- A foolish or stupid person: simpleton
- Someone (especially a man) who shows excessive concern, attention, or deference toward a romantic partner or love interest. ~ Merriam-Webster’s Dictionary
On the other hand, the word has been greatly bastardized and is weaponized as a way to shun pretty much any man who treats women with kindness and care.
Per the Urban Dictionary, “simp” is defined as follows:
- Someone who does way too much for a person they like.
- A man who puts the hoes before the bros.
And if we’re honest, the red pillers are definitely using the Urban Dictionary over Webster’s, this is how we found out Cam Newton was “nclectic,” but that’s another conversation for another day.
Women in the Lead
In real relationships, where you function as a team rather than as opponents, it’s well known that some men will take the lead on some things and some women on others.
And when it comes to raising and expanding a family, it makes perfect sense that a man would allow his wife to take the lead. Women not only have to carry and give birth to the babies, but they also breastfeed (if they choose) and typically set the tone and manage the child rearing as well.
Moreover, given the high maternal mortality rates, the lack of empathy for Black women within the health care sector, etc., it makes even more sense in this age for an evolved man to allow his woman to decide how and when she wants to birth her children.
And indeed, given that when relationships end, women typically get custodial custody, it makes even more sense to let women decide how many kids they want to have and when.
When you’re a true provider, you definitely help out with the child rearing, but you also work to make sure you can afford to raise the kids you’re having.
Ruling with an Iron Skillet
Nevertheless, angry red pillers hiding behind gender roles and so-called “tradition,” believe in “ruling with an iron fist,” meaning that they essentially throw their weight around with no regard for how it affects their wives and children.
They shun more evolved men who acknowledge women as equals, and especially those who are rich or wealthy, because they truly believe that making the most money is what entitles them to be insufferable a**holes.
Indeed, these men are so outraged because this is how they justify their mistreatment and abuse. So, if it’s proven that men can be well-off and successful, this will kill the myth that successful men behave this way by default and could result in women demanding more from their — typically far less successful — partners.
Killing the Bro Code
Up until recently, men, by and large, stuck by the bro code, meaning that even if they, themselves, chose to honor and respect their women, they would always leave space for those who don’t.
Keith Lee spoke about his wife in a way that was caring, loving, protective, and totally confident in his stance. This is antithetical to a code that asserts you only factor in women’s feelings when it benefits them. And this is why they’re in such an uproar — not just because he dared to speak about his wife in such a way, but that he didn’t make any disclaimers or apologies for it.
Are you a Wimp?
Taking it back to the definition of “simp,” in what world would this ever apply to a healthy marriage between a grown man and the woman he loves?! I mean, the very idea of implying a man is too good to his wife or even worse, somehow wrong for putting his “hoe” before his “bro,” should offend any person who sees value in love and marriage, not just women.
And therein lies the problem: we are dealing with adult males who have some sort of vendetta against the entire female populace, not happy, well-adjusted men.
Rather than staying in their musty man caves, these men have been so emboldened that they will unapologetically scream their misguided opinions from the mountaintops, in an attempt to recruit a new bro to use and abuse women for sport.
These men don’t believe in fair, equitable relationships because that would mean leading with something besides their wallets, which very few of them have the capacity to do. So, when I say “wimp,” yes, I’m saying these men are genuinely low-tier, manipulative males whose only hope for a relationship comes from making enough money to pacify the women on their shortcomings.
They literally fear living in a world where they have to genuinely show up with morals, discipline, direction, and kindness towards their partners because that is a world they could never compete in.
And men like Keith Lee put them in fear of being a dying breed. Rightfully so. The younger generations certainly seem to be catching on to how toxic masculinity has contributed to dysfunctional family and relationship dynamics for centuries.
Honestly, it’s getting to be very pathetic how loud and wrong this crowd is. Interfering in a seemingly happy marriage to impose your brutish views is downright diabolical.
These angry red-pillers lead with their half-empty wallets, but at the same time, very much kick and scream over the notion that money is the only thing they can offer women.
Evolved men realize that empowering their wives to take the lead on certain things only further empowers them to take the lead on others. So, if you believe that marriage and family are meaningless, you may want to hop out of Keith Lee’s mentions. Even if he does ever change his mind and join the dark side, that’s not where he is today.
As the old saying goes,
Those who say it can not be done should not interrupt those doing it. ~ George Bernard Shaw
Moral of the story: cope harder.
Do you think letting your wife take the lead on reproduction is simp behavior?
