What is proportional control?
Integral control is one block of PID controller. Following figure explain you PID block. P is for proportional: this is what means alone with a error particular substance sums up with gain constantly multiply. This catches up come to desired value of particular actuator. When start it has larger value when come near to desired value it reduces its magnitude of component that resembles of actuation magnitude. there is p controller better substance than on off type controller where cut off power when it come to desired value and when it goes either way to desired value it actuate constant value of magnitude power. P controller is better version of on off controller where relay has been used for it.
What is an integral controller?
I controller is nothing but integral of error and gain multiple of particular integral value. Integral says as sum up every value of error in a actuation frequency. Integral wind up is big problem that it has, it means sum up value reach to maximum value so there is very larger component sum up to actuation signal, so it makes actuator saturation.
What is a deferential controller?
The last component is D controlling agent. Which is to supply enough energy to bounce with damping. In which it gets more when there is larger rate of error(speed) but there is a sign of amplitude unlike speed but look like a velocity.
Architecture of controlling block
People apply different types of arrangements for particular type of architecture for these three blocks or less. When it goes beyond the reference value integral component make negative to create momentum towards to reference. once it reaches to reference make integral sum to zero. once it goes bellow the reference newly added the summation that make actuation signal to push its momentum toward reference. once it reaches to reference same as before it makes integral sum to zero.
