Amazon Connect Compliance with India DoT
Department of Transport in India requires calls to be delivered from overseas to India BPOs through a private circuit; either via PSTN or circuits such as MPLS. This is a self-governed requirement, however, it poses a big risk for large BPOs in India.
Comstice has a solution that terminates Amazon Connect’s WebRTC calls and converts them to SIP. Using site-to-site VPN, SIP calls can be sent to India. Agents in India can use a standard IP-PBX or Comstice PBX to terminate agent sessions. Comstice WebRTC Gateway is a linux-based virtual server. It can be hosted in AWS EC2 inside a VPC. Amazon Connect public IPs can be sent to AWS transit gateway and through a site-to-site VPN, the connection is extended to the site in India.
Conclusion
Comstice Amazon Connect SIP Connector helps to create many use cases with Amazon Connect and SIP. With Comstice, you can securely connect your Amazon Connect instance in the USA with your network in India.
