One Form or Two? Weighing UX Tradeoffs for Mission-Critical Information

When designing mission-critical systems …whether for healthcare, enterprise operations, government workflows, or financial platforms… the way information is presented and edited can have a profound impact on usability, safety, data integrity, and user confidence. One of the most common UX questions in these environments is:
Should important information be displayed and modified in the same form, or should there be separate “view” and “edit” modes?
