The concept of Time

I think time is a creation of Allah swt that is a…flawed concept. Sometimes we feel that even though we’re in 2025, we can be stuck three years ago. Or even a decade ago. And this can be exceptionally normal for dementia patients. Some of us are stuck in the loop. And we can’t seem to get out of that cycle. At the same time, some of us are anxious because we’re too scared of what the future could hold. So, the unknown makes us blow things out of proportion. Yesterday, when I spoke to a close friend of mine, he said something. That struck me. He said that. We shouldn’t be tied to the results. Because, for sure, we humans are visionaries. We have ideas and visions of what we want to do in this life. But we should never really tight to a specific timeline. While growing up, my society, or rather the modern society, has permanently been fixed. Goals to a dateline. The acronym of SMART itself as to what time within it we could achieve certain things within a particular time. While this is realistic in school or, say, work. There are other aspects of life. We cannot control this because we’re not holding the steering wheel. Are we? We are merely servants, while Allah SWT is the best of planners. So when we get anxious because things are spiralling out of control. It begs the question of things Really spiralling out of control. So then comes in. The complete reliance to Allah swt. So I believe as a Muslim, I am glad that tawakal is part of our lives in the sense where that we are sitting at the back of the car seat. We are trusting the one who’s sitting at the steering wheel. Not sitting, but the one who has complete control over everything. Over the skies, over the world. Over the different universe. Of all the seven heavens above and beyond. Everything is completely balanced. So we shouldn’t play God. We shouldn’t even bother to. Take on his task to plan because that only gives us anxiety because I think our innate selves realize that we aren’t capable of doing so. So it helps to realize that you’re merely servants. And by realizing who we really are, our position in relation to our creator Allah swt it really tones everything down. OK, that’s it. That’s the reflection for today. Ohh, my intent to reflect a lot more. Every day at least. Then start to write again because someone once told me that writing at the beginning of the day really helps to tone set the tone of the day. OK, that’s all for today.
