I had a DNA sequence. I just wanted the GC content.
That’s it.
Instead, I found myself…
Installing packages I didn’t fully understand. Fixing dependency issues I didn’t create. Switching between tools that didn’t quite do what I needed.
At some point, I stopped and thought:
“Why is something this simple… this complicated?”

I wasn’t building a pipeline. I wasn’t running large-scale analysis.
I just needed a quick answer.
But bioinformatics tools don’t seem designed for that.
